As Season ticket holders of Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure, you already know I highly rate this place but always look forward to the special events. This February half term is Fantasy February, get ready to have a magical time. As you come up the driveway wooden shields on the trees invite you to select your team, once in the park you have to look out for themed challenges and designated photo points – but be sure to tag the best photographs on social media as you could win a fantastic prize. 
There’s also some extra craft activities on each day alongside their usual animal encounter list. Roaar are working in partnership with the Fairyland Trust, a charity which introduces children to nature.Workshops (which cost £1 per child to take part and are 15 minutes long) will take place between 10.30am and 12.30pm (FLUTTERBIES) and then 1.30pm and 3.30pm (BUG BLING)
If that wasn’t enough, if you get your little ones to dress in fantasy fancy dress – think knights, trolls and princesses they get 50% off the admission !

Food
The Explorers restaurant and the Nautilus food hatch serves amazing fish and chips, seriously it rivals some coastal favourites of mine and it’s not badly priced in fact a kids half portion of chips and a bartered sausage is just £2.75. It’s also worth mentioning that the price is the same whether you dine in at the Explorers or use the hatch and picnic tables! 
What to Wear
Long sleeved tops are a must for the slides to avoid nasty friction burns or a jacket and don’t forget your socks in summer months. When the warmer weather does come don’t forget you’ll need your cozzie too for the awesome Dippy Splash Zone.
Special Events
Keep an eye on the Facebook page and events list on the website for special days and activities. They are always really good not to mention money saving promotions throughout the year like the 50% discounts for costumed kids this February and sometimes reduced entry prices for those special guests on Mother’s and Father’s Day . 
Activities board
Snake encounter, creepy crawlies and crafts are just some of the activities on offer. Take a picture of the board on entry so you don’t miss sessions you really want to see. The encounter barn ( where most activities happen) is at the far end of the park so make sure you plan where your going, you don’t want to be hotfooting it from one end to the other, the park is vast!
Baby Love
They have a microwave, yes mothers and fathers everywhere, hallelujah! I can’t tell you the amount of places I’ve been, including Mac Donald’s that don’t provide a microwave, they will however warm your bottles up in hot water if you prefer. High chairs, under 5s soft play and even a double toilet with a changing mat, makes the boring but necessary bits of the day bearable . I’ve also yet to meet a miserable member of staff and some have been there for years, which means management must be doing something right. There all great with the kids and very hands on if they see you struggling, as I regularly do with my little tearaways.
