Festival Camping Checklist

I’ve had so many people request a checklist of what we take on our festival/Camping trips I thought I better pull my finger out and just do it. So here goes. Its not an exhaustive list and for some trips I actually scale a lot of it down based on the facilities at the camp site or duration of stay. If you do have any other essentials you think I’ve missed please let me know in comments and I’ll add to Cookies Festival Camping Checklist.

Hope its helpful, feel free to copy and paste and use as you will.

Top Tips

Top tips for keeping food and drink cool.

  • Pre-chill both your cool box before you load it for the best start
  • I freeze everything from milk to sausages, that way I don’t have to use up space in the cool box
  • The fuller your cooler is, the less trapped warm air has to cool, so choose one that isn’t too large and top it up whenever possible. Some festivals sell ice its at a premium but what price do you put on a cold beer.
  • Separate your drinks from your food in two smaller coolers instead of one large one to reduce the number of times people open them. The kids are a nightmare for this.
  • Cover your cooler with a blanket, sleeping bag, or pad, and keep it in the shade
