Cosy Club – Norwich

I was gutted to miss the opening of the Cosy Club, Norwich’s newest restaurant located on London Street, near Bedfords and Greg’s, depending on which landmarks your regularly frequent 😉. So when I was invited to try out one of their new cocktail masterclasses I jumped at the chance, especially as I was keen for a peak at the renovation of the former NatWest bank.

First Impressions

When I arrived after a very wet and windy journey I was left agog! And I haven’t used that term since I walked in on Andy loading the dishwasher. Cosy really is a understatement, this building is probably the most warm and inviting in the city.

Take a Peak

Decadent 1930’s decor or is that 1920’s? I couldn’t put my finger on it but it doesn’t matter, they have selected all the best bits from this Art Deco era and added their own quirky style. The most amazing chandeliers you’ve ever seen adorn every ceiling and as you walk into the main restaurant and your eye is immediately taken up past the tall pot plants to the spectacular dome ceiling. The attention to detail is amazing, from the Peaky-Blinder’s-esque staff clothing to the logo which has been given a unique twist as a nod to this Manificent grade 2 listed building.

Inside the Bank

Inside lay three rather special rooms. The AW Russell (after the gun carrying bank manager), The Vault and The Oval Office. We were welcomed into the AW Russell for our cocktail masterclass and it’s the private parties and events that I think will make Cosy Club the place to go for that special occasion. They offer something for everyone and cater to every budget.

We experienced package number 2 ‘Cocktails and Tapas’, which included an icebreaker shot, 3 cocktails of our choice – which we had great fun making with the fantastic Callum (I’d recommend the Cherry Bakewell) and then a selection of tapas to share for £39.95 per person. I couldn’t get enough of the perfectly cooked Scotch eggs with runny yolk and the buttermilk chicken yum yum. There’s separate menus for vegetarians, vegans and those who are gluten free. Not hungry? without the tapas it’s just £29.95 or make a night of it with a two course dinner served in your private room for £44.50.

Celebrate in Style!

Birthdays, stag & hen parties or a family celebration, you name it they do it with corporate packages range from just £6.50 a person. What better location can you think of other than inside a bank vault! It certainly provides plenty of wow-factor for potential clients and investors.

Cosy Club’s staff are incredibly friendly, fun and love what they do. I can image they are great hosts whatever the occasion and add to the atmosphere of the place.

Look out for special promotion nights on their social pages. Why not stop by for Tapas Tuesday or their Tea Time Topple, where two cocktails are just £9.95! Find out more or book at cosyclub.co.uk

Thanks for having me I can’t wait to bring the whole family. So, as they say in Peaky Blinder’s, ‘brave is going where no man has gone before’…

Enjoy! Love Cookie.
