The Banningham Crown!

Over the Christmas period we have a number of birthdays and family events…. I know right, how inconsiderate of them it’s Christmas after all 😏 one of our favourite places to eat is the Banningham Crown, located just down the North Walsham turn on the Cromer road near Aylsham. It’s decor is traditional and I love the smell of the open fire as you walk in and also how open the kitchen is, very helpful when u want to thank the chef. We visited New Year’s Eve daytime for my mum’s birthday so expected it to be busy and maybe a little under par but we were very much mistaken. The food was as always amazing, good sized portions and great ingredients. I would class it as traditional pub grub with some twists. The king prawn carbonara is a must as well as the burgers and risotto not to mention the roasts…… OK I’m a bit of a piggy but never trust a slim foodie hey. But the best thing about the crown is not the decor or the grub, the gin or even the dog friendly bar but it’s the people. You will not go to any pub/restaurant in Norfolk where the staff are so kind/helpful/polite/funny and just generally awesome, book today you won’t be disappointed there are also rumors there taking over the old Rat Catchers in Cawston, nom nom . Special shout out to Jason , Simon , William and Danielle who were so kind on my mum’s birthday.
